Paul Bertinato, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died October 30th at the age of 59 after sustaining injuries from a cycling accident.

A 35-year resident of Dumont, Paul grew up in Cliffside Park. He was an avid cyclist and master carpenter. Earlier this year he celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary with his loving wife Jennie Lepore Bertinato .

At the time of his death Paul was employed as Director of Maintenance at The Summit School in Nyack, NY. Previously he was self-employed home improvement contractor. He was born in Jersey City and graduated from Cliffside Park High School.

Paul will be remembered by family and friends for his buoyant good humor, wit and large spirit. He was active with several Bergen County Cycling Clubs.

Paul is survived by his wife Jennie and sons Chris and Steven, both of Dumont; grandchildren Alli and George of Dumont; parents Frank and Evelyn Bertinato of Cliffside Park; and siblings John, Rich, Peter, Dave, Susan, and Joseph.

Funeral services will be private. A memorial bike ride will be held at a later date. Details will be posted here on www.finkraftcoaching.com. In lieu of flowers or donations the family requests that well-wishers pass on kindness and goodwill to each other and strangers alike.
