First I would like to say:
"Thank you to everyone who is part of FinKraft!"
The clients. I think we have established
a good relationship with everyone we coach. Both you, as the athlete
and I, as your coach, strive to make progress in your performance.
Results are important for everyone, which is why you have hired a
coach. My job is to ensure that we do everything possible to achieve
those results!!
The staff. The staff, Andreas and my
wife are working very hard behind the scenes. Without them it would be
difficult to run this company and grow as a team! Sarah our tri-coach is
becoming familiar with our mission and goals. She is a valuable asset
to us on many levels with her triathlon experience. As we keep
expanding, an assistant cycling/tri coach is in the plans as well!
The sponsors. I am fortunate to have had
good results in past years and wining the M 40 Cross Nationals has given
this project a boost as well. With the help of Andreas’ relentless sponsor
proposal drive, he has managed to secure a few companies as sponsors for me
as an athlete in these financially tough times. We are authorized to sell
these products on our newly designed e-commerce web site www.finkraftcoaching.com
. This entitles anyone interested in purchasing the products from us
to great savings, and even greater savings to any FinKraft
coached athlete. Our e-commerce web site is undergoing development
and is currently in the beginning stages. There will be more FinKraft special edition items as well as additional
sponsored products available. Product quality is extremely important
to me and as such, you will see that reflected in the products that we
sell. I have turned down a few companies because they did not meet our
standards and high expectations!
This Sunday we
have the famous Bear Mountain Road Race in our own back yard!
As a little extra motivation to our athletes competing in this race, FinKraft will give a pair of the UVEX pro racing
glasses to any FinKraft coached athlete who
finishes in the top 3 in their category. It will be worth your best
effort and probably better than the actual prize given by the race
organizers!
Team Finkraft represents at recent Adventure Race
I am pleased to
recognize and congratulate mywife and her good friend
Bernadette Carlson (the famous cook from our training camp). Kimand Burny participated in
the Geneses Adventure race in Bear
Mountain as Team FinKraft.
I think we can say that they represented the “endurance” part of our
company - in an event that included mountain biking, orienteering (map&
compass), running, and kayaking (for almost 2 hours in the Hudson ). There were a total of 14 check points
in mud, water and 90 degree heat! Their total time was 5.48.00 -
sometimes I think a 4 hour roadrace is a stretch,
two tough girls! We are proud of them, congratulations on a great
accomplishment!
Race
Promotion - Tour of Connecticut
Race promotion:
a fellow racer and a super nice guy, Bill Thompson has asked me to help
promote the new tour of Connecticut stage
race held on May 30th –31st. The race consists
of an 8 mile TT, a 31 mile circuit race on Saturday, and then a hilly 91
mile road race to finish it of on Sunday. I have raced the old Pro
race also called “Tour of Connecticut” in that same area, a very nice rural
place to have a race. There are lots of races to choose from, but this
sounds like an epic “real” stage race. As a bike racer and a coach, I like
these kinds of races and hope that they take place and grow in popularity,
so please go to www.bikereg.com and sign up! Let’s make sure that this race will happen
and will not get cancelled due to low attendance!
