I have a 2007 Lab 3D Computrainer (SEE PHOTO BELOW) with a Deluxe full size stand. It is their top of the line system according to their website. I bought it in 07, used it that winter and spring of 08, and has not been used since. So it is very "new". I would like to get 1,200 for it + shipping, or is available for local pickup or delivery.

The Final Big “Push”

by Roger

It is almost Christmas time, which usually means the end is near, Cross I mean .The Nationals are usually the last big one here in the US. They take place in Bend, OR this year and guess what; they are this week.

FinKraft has two coached athletes and myself that will be competing for the stars and stripes in their age group categories. Kevin Hines a clear favorite in the 50-54 age group and Ralf Warmuth races in the 45-49 age group, a top 5 contender for sure. We also have a nice group of close FinKraft friends and east coast racers who will make the trip out to Bend. Kyle and Justin Lindine are both driving cross-country as we speak with everybody’s bikes as part of the FinKraft bike transport crew.

For the athletes who just finished their cross season, this week is a good time to reflect on how the past 4 months turned out as the road racers, MTB guys and the triathletes did when Cross started.

Ask yourselves these questions; what went well? What were my weaknesses? How was my focus during the season? Which races went well? How did I deal with the different weather conditions?  When were my lows and highs? What did I learn about Cross? What did I learn about myself? How was my training program? How was my nutrition? How was my recovery? Was my equipment the best possible? How did I deal with travel and racing back-to-back races?

These are just a few questions; there are a lot more for sure. We have 8 months to find the answers, so relax!!

Great job everyone and good luck to the athletes competing at the Nationals this week.

Staten Island

Cross – November 29

by Christophe Jammet

Last Sunday SICX happened for the 2nd time.   The race was a huge success!

We had double the attendance from last year, great sponsors, excellent food, and most importantly GREAT RACING!   The course was a pretty fast course with two forced dismounts (including a beach run right by the Atlantic Ocean). Everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and the racing, and I can honestly tell you that there's nothing better than watching your own race come together the way it did last week.

The weather was beautiful and may not have resulted in "epic" conditions, but the racers kept the race fast and furious.   Plenty of FinKraft athletes were in attendance, most notable results being Adam Duncan getting 2nd in the B Masters 35+ race and Troy Kimball getting 3rd in the 2/3/4 men's race.   Thanks to everyone who came out!   See you next year!

Announcement from Trainingpeaks

by Roger

We are excited to announce that the new interface of TrainingPeaks.com is almost ready to become the primary interface for all users.

Starting December 2nd, when you log in to your TrainingPeaks account, you will see the new interface by default. In preparation for this, we are notifying all users about trying, and learning, the new interface. The time to start the transition is now. The old interface will be turned off in January 2010.

The first step in moving to the new system is simply getting you to explore the features that are available, learn the new ins and outs of the system and provide time for you to get comfortable with it.

Change is good, but could sometimes be uncomfortable and added stress. I felt the same, but once I started to use the new interface it all started to make sense.

Help make a dream reality for Justin Lindine

A good friend of FinKraft, Justin Lindine had been accepted to the European Cyclocross Camp in Belgium for two weeks at the end of December of this year.  Spaces at this camp are coveted and only the most up and coming riders in the country are picked to go.

Only
three elite racers were picked, so it is quite an honor and one that Justin has earned with hard work and hard racing. Kyle had the pleasure of having Justin on his teams for the past three years and he has shown that he absolutely deserves this selection. Justin will compete in about 9 races in 10 days over there including at least one each World Cup and Superprestige events.  The camp comes with the famous Belgium House, cooks, professional mechanics, soigneurs, travel and entry to all of the events.  This is a fantastic opportunity and is great exposure for him, his team and New England cyclocross athletes.

However, it is a private camp and although endorsed by USA Cycling, they do not support it financially.  The camp is extremely expensive and when combined with the airfare, it is almost prohibitive for a normal bike racer to be able to make it.

Steve at bikereg.com has generously set up a page for people to make donations, and he has agreed to waive all normal fees so that Justin gets 100% of all donations.  Every penny counts, so if you can only help with $10 or so, it will go a long way.

The cycling press has recently labeled Justin's racing style as ferocious; a tribute that will be well served when he competes against the best of the world overseas.

Justin heads next for the NBX races in Rhode Island, then across the country for the Elite National Championships.  He heads straight to Belgium immediately when he gets home.

We hope that everyone can support Justin as best as possible and pass this note on to anyone they know.  Thank you so much for your help!
